Sage, Salvia Officinalis, is a herbal plant native to the Mediterranean and South-Eastern Europe. The most useful part of the plant is its leaves. The leaves are used in making medicine. It is a perennial evergreen plant that belongs to the Lamiaceae, the Mint, family and a close relative of the sage, oregano, thyme and the like. Sage herb grows to a height of a foot or more, with greyish green lance-shaped.
