Echinacea is a herb, native to Rocky Mountains areas, especially of the US, Canada and Europe. History has it that the tribal people of Great Plains of India were the first to use Echinacea, and later other settlers followed their examples. It became globally popular, especially when it was listed in the US National Formulary from 1916-1950 as a potent herbal formula with recent reports to be getting people’s attention back to Echinacea, as it has been discovered to possess great antibiotic properties. Echinacea is potent against several infections, especially the common cold and flu.
