Dandelion is a genus of the Asteraceae family. It has great anti-bacterial properties and are used both internally and externally as anti-bacterial agents. The prominent species is Taraxacum, which is tap-rooted, and perennial herbaceous plant. The whole of the plant is used for medicinal herb internally and externally. Juice is extracted from dandelion, applied externally to fight bacteria and help heal wounds. More so, herbal wines are made from dandelion fermented flowers.
